Tamela Ryatt and Karen Johnston of Ryatt Johnston Gallery invite the public to their 3rd annual open house on Saturday & Sunday, May 12th & 13th from 10 am to 4 pm.

Location: 22140 Frontier Road, Clovis, CA 93619 (cross street; Auberry Road, 2 miles north of Table Mountain Casino)

Join Ryatt and Johnston as they present their photography, sculptures and feature the paintings by Fresno’s newest artist, Bibi Bielat. The open house also showcases a gorgeous succulent garden, walking trails and sitting areas with breathtaking views of Table Mountain and the surrounding foothills.

Woodcarver's Rendezvous In Oakhurst

The annual Woodcarver’s Rendezvous in Oakhurst kicks off April 15th.

Woodcarvers of all skill levels will be able to show off their skills, develop new abilities and just enjoy each other’s shared interest.

The event has grown in popularity in the five years it’s been happening. About 100 carvers from throughout central California are expected to attend.

"In addition to seminars and demonstrations, spouses can take advantage of crafts and other programs.

Gospel Recording Artist Returning To Madera

The Madera Leo Club presents contemporary Gospel Artist Avery Stafford on April 14th at Nishimoto Elementary School.

Avery Stafford is a 1983 Madera High School graduate and Gospel Recording Artist. All proceeds to benefit Shoes That Fit Program which provides sneakers to Children in need.

Admission is $8.00 per person and tickets are available at Bridge Store and Fastway Market or donate a brand new pair of sneakers to Nishimoto Elementary School and receive 2 free tickets.

The concert begins at 6:00 p.m. Nishimoto Elementary School is located at 26460 Martin Street, Madera.

The Madera High School Performing Arts Department will present "Seussical the Musical" beginning Thursday March 22nd at Madera South High School.

There will be eight performances all beginning at 7:30 p.m;  March 22nd - 25th and March 28th - 31st.

Melodrama To Mark Oakhurst Centennial Celebration

The Golden Chain Theatre in Oakhurst will stage a melodrama February 28th as the mountain community continues to celebrate its 100th anniversary.

Alliteratively titled “Fastidious Finagling Fiasco Fixing Fresno Flats”, the melodrama will put a humorous spin on Oakhurst’s origin tale.

There will be an open house at the theatre from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with cake, merchandise commemorating the centennial, local historians and other festivities, followed by the play which starts at 7:00 p.m.

The public is invited to the open house which is free. Tickets for the play are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $8 for students 13-18 and $6 for children 12 and under. Children under 3 are free.

24th ANNUAL FRESNO COUNTY BLOSSOM TRAIL BEGINS

As the days begin to warm and the fog clears, the orchards of Fresno County are preparing to welcome their springtime blooms.  Trail aficionados from near and far await the start of the Fresno County Blossom Trail with anticipation building that the blooms are merely a few weeks away. 

 This self guided tour through eastern Fresno County celebrates the beauty of the region’s agricultural heritage.  Traditionally at its peak from late February through late March (weather permitting) the Trail features a panorama of blossoming stone fruit orchards and citrus groves alive with fragrance and bursting with color (orange blossom portion will bloom into April).  Colorful orchards are set against the picturesque backdrop of the snow capped Sierra Nevada Mountains giving travelers the opportunity to enjoy the visual and aromatic experience of Fresno County's rich agricultural bounty! <

Are you interested in making a holiday wreath?  Master Gardener Jill Cholewa will host a "how to class" Saturday November 19th at Madera Community College Center. 

The fee is $20 which includes a wreath frame and materials.  Pre-paid registration is required and seating is limited.
