Join Ryatt and Johnston as they present their photography, sculptures and feature the paintings by Fresno’s newest artist, Bibi Bielat. The open house also showcases a gorgeous succulent garden, walking trails and sitting areas with breathtaking views of Table Mountain and the surrounding foothills.

There’s nothing tropical about Oakhurst, Ca….Until now.  A taste of the tropics is moving to Oakhurst and reopening Tuesday May 1st, 2012.  Steve’s Tropical Fish is the mountains only source for fresh and salt water fish and are trusted for their expertise.  Currently located in Coarsegold they are gearing up to become the unofficial Oakhurst Aquarium. With a beautiful showcase of “Monster Fish”, freshwater and saltwater fish, as well as Turtles and Crabs, it’s sure to bring out the kid inside of you!

Central Valley Community Bank will host a free shredding event Thursday, April 12th from 9 a.m. - noon.

Central Valley Community Bank is offering FREE shredding to the public and businesses. Shred your old documents and confidential files safely and securely.

You can watch your unwanted papers be shredded on-site, free of charge.

Shredding services are limited to 6 banker boxes per person or business up to the truck capacity.

Shredding service requests above the 6 box limit will be referred to an alternate location for an additional charge.

Big Job Fair At Fresno Fairgrounds, 3-28-12

The 2012 Fresno Job Fair, Sponsored by DSS, KMPH, the EDC, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at the Fresno Fairgrounds.

The job fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

About 200 employers will be hiring.

Hundreds of jobs will be up for grabs, ranging from entry level to management.

Organizers say you should take along several copies of your resume.

Water Park Jobs Available In Clovis

Wild Water Adventure Park in Clovis is looking to hire about 300 people for the summer season.

The water park will be holding a job fair this weekend at the Sierra Vista Mall, near the Kohl's Department Store.

Applications will be accepted:

-Saturday, March 24, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

-Sunday, March 25, 2012, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Employment opportunities include: lifeguards, food service personnel and other park positions.

New employees will begin working after May 27th.

Managers ask that you take along a completed application to the job fair. You can download an application by visiting www.wildwater.net.

Support for Agriculture Kicks into High Gear with New License Plate

California drivers now have a way to show their support for one of our state's largest job creators: agriculture.

The Department of Motor Vehicles is now offering a special, Agriculture license plate.

By purchasing these plates, drivers also will be able to invest in a future crop of California farmers and ranchers.

Fees raised from the license plate sales will benefit:

  • Agricultural Education
  • Agricultural Career Awareness
  • Agricultural Career Training
  • Youth Leadership Development

The deadline to sign up is April 6.
