Candlelight Christmas Wine Stroll And Tractor Parade | Community Spirit
The Annual Madera Christmas Parade, where participants and spectators can wander through business establishments, sampling hors d'oeuvres, tasting wines, or having hot beverages will be held November 29th.
Although the parade started out as a procession of tractors down Yosemite Avenue, almost any type of vehicle is now accepted, as long as it is emblazoned with at least 100 lights; children's electric and pedal vehicles shall have a minimum of 30 lights.
The event is co-sponsored by the Madera Kiwanis Club and the Madera Downtown Association.
Contact any Madera Kiwanis Club member; the Madera Downtown Association; or Rochelle at Pete's Sport Shop (559) 673-5951 to receive a Parade Entry Form. You can also FAX your request to (559) 673-7942.
Parade entry fee entitles entrant to a wine glass and mug. Parade spectators can also purchase a wine glass for $10 or a mug for $6 from any participating merchant. The wine glass entitles the person to free wines and hors d'oeuvres, from more than 15 wineries at downtown locations. The mug is for hot drinks, like cider or coffee (glasses & mugs frequently sell out prior to the event)
