Craft Fair and Parade In Madera Ranchos |

The Friends of the Ranchos Library and Golden Valley Chamber of Commerce will host the 21st annual Flatlanders Day Craft Fair and Parade on May 14th. The craft fair will be held at the Maywood Center, 37167 Avenue 12. The craft fair features 43 craft and information booths plus 8 food booths; there will be a book sale, games, pet adoptions & the blood mobile in addition to the booths.
The craft fair begins at 8 am and goes until 2pm. All proceeds benefit the Ranchos branch of the Madera County Library System. The parade is at 10am and proceeds down Avenue 12, ending at the Maywood Center. The parade is open to anyone who wants to enter, with entries being taken by the Golden Valley Chamber of Commerce. The newly voted-in 'Mayor' will be in the parade. This year's theme is 'Community Pride.'
Avenue 12 is closed from Road 36 to approximately Fernwood for the duration of the parade, about 2 hours, and trophies are given in many categories. Traffic is diverted around the parade route.
