Madera County – Sheriff John Anderson is releasing surveillance pictures of a vehicle Detectives now believe was used in the September 3rd drive-by shooting death of 17-year old Jorge Navarro.
The vehicle is described as silver or gray colored farm labor van. On the night of September 3rd at approximately 7:30, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Road 27 near Martin Street, where the Madera teenager lay dead on the roadside.
A surveillance video camera captured an image of what appears to be a gray or silver colored farm labor van that detectives believe was in fact the vehicle used in the September 3rd drive-by shooting.
Detectives say there were at least two people inside the van – the driver, and a shooter. Navarro and two other people were walking home, and made it roughly half a mile north of a market located on the corner of Ellis Street, when the silver or gray colored farm labor van slowly drove
