Netherton/Rotary Relays At Madera High May 18th
Madera Unified students from the first through the sixth grade will participate in the 19th annual Netherton/Rotary Relays, which take place Friday May 18th beginning at 6 p.m. at Madera High School.
MUSD’s 13 K-6 schools, three K-8 schools, Ezequiel Tafoya Alvarado Academy charter school and Crossroads Academy will each field a team. First, second and third graders will run an 8 x 50-meter race while fourth, fifth and sixth graders run a 4 x 100 race.
Races will be competed on the stadium’s all-weather track, with the students staged on the grassy area between the stadium and the fieldhouse. The Madera Rotary Club will host a full concession stand on the home side of the stadium.
Rotary also supplies a medal to each student who participates, and students on relay teams that finish in first, second or third receive a t-shirt.
